If you are looking for things to do as a family, there are a couple of books that I recommend reading and discussing as a group. The books below have a lot of valuable information in them; however, I’m afraid if you hand them to your middle schooler these books will not keep them engaged. These books will be made more fun and engaging if read together as a family along with a round table discussion. And you never know you may learn something new yourself.

Finance 101 for Kids by Walter Andal – is a book that breaks down complex financial concepts into simple, easy-to-understand lessons for children and beginners. It covers topics such as how money started, earning and making money, saving and investing, credit, the stock market, economic forces, currencies and giving back to the community.

Finance 102 for Kids by Walter Andal – Is a book that teaches children and parents how to:
- Spend wisely and live within your means
- Determine the real cost of a purchase and make informed decisions
- Stretch your money’s worth
- Resist unhealthy media and social influence
- Make credit cards work for you
- Save, invest, and understand compound interest
- Protect your money, property, and reputation
- Recognize things beyond money that can make you rich
Great information to share with Kids these days since it is not taught in school now
